Well 2009 was not a total loss. It was actually quite an awesome year for me. I wrote more, met more people and overall became less of a hermit.
The point is that I didn’t fulfill many of my goals this year. Here is the post I’m referencing to.
- Rehabilitate my knee : YES, but incurred $2k in debt by doing so. Epic Fail.
- Redecorate my home: NO, because I didn’t have much disposable income to burn.
- Lose substantial weight: NO, I’m an emotional eater and I think I actually gained weight but too scared to check.
- Participate in art competitions: KINDA, just participated in one.
- Work toward joining the Naval reserves: EPIC FAIL, I gained weight.
- Stay fashionable: YES, thrift stores are awesome.
Screw it though. I’m still going to make some goals for 2010. This time, I’ll be a little more realistic and have at least twice as many goals. That way I can accomplish at least 60% of them! More on that soon. ‘
Did you meet any or all of your goals?
Well, I'm glad you accomplished some of your goals this year. I've accomplished some of my own: 1. Establish an exercise class for my community free of charge-YES. 2. Lose 70 lbs.-NO. 3. take the bull by the horns and fix my house-YES. 4. Have it clean, painted and decorated at least one week before Christmas-HOPEFULLY. 5. My daughter is coming for Christmas this year-YES!! I'm proud of her accomplishments no matter how small they are, I'm sure she'll get to accomplish more next year, I know I HAVE TO: 1. lose weight too at least 60lbs. Get my Social Security benefits started ASAP, 2. Continue on fixing my house ( I still have 2-3 more rooms to get started on) 3. Build a patio in my backyard right outside my kitchen, and 4. Get started on my 14 year-old daughter's Quinceanera in October 2010. We decided that traditional Quinceaneras involve too much religion in the Hispanic community, and I came up with the idea of turning it in a Cotillion/masquerade party. Picture the party scene from the movie Casanova with Heath Ledger. Well, those are the goals i accomplished and some of the ones I plan to go for it this upcoming year 2010. Good luck on your venture.
