This is my first attempt at making any kind of recorded walk through. I have been dying to get Lil Jon voice snippets for use on my phone and all I could seem to find were soundboards which were initially of no use to me.
Surely there had to extract the MP3 and other media out of the soundboard, right? Luckily I tracked down a method, but found absolutely no walk through’s explaining the process. Although this isn’t a technical blog, you can see HERE that on occasion, I’ll post the random walk through if I think it’ll be of any benefit to my readership.
If you don’t have the time to listen to my tired, 2 am voice in the above video, I’ll break it down for you here:
- Download Mozilla Firefox
- Find the SWF (Macromedia Flash) Sound board that you’re interested in.
- Right click the website (not the actual sound board) and click on ‘View Page Info’
- Click on the ‘Media’ tab
- Find the file with the ‘.swf’ extension and click ‘Save As…’
- Save the soundboard wherever you like.
- Go to Download.com and search for WINSWF
- Download and install WINSWF. This software has been tested and confirmed to have no malware or viruses.
- Run WINSWF and open the Sound board that you previously saved.
- WINSWF will automatically display all media files embedded in the SWF file.
- Preview the files with the included media player and choose the media you’d like to keep.
- Right click the desired file and click on ‘Save As…’
- Save the file, rename it and do what you will with it.
Voilà, et finis!

It does not work well for me, i get the file. Then i try to get the mp´3 out with WIN SWF extractor but it does not work. It says: 24.0 is not a fair floating point value.
